Who is Your Virtual Desk?

I’m Marisa Hodson, the founder and Virtual Assistant (VA) of Your Virtual Desk, which launched in 2020.

I love organising, and am exceptionally skilled in organising even the most disorganised business owners! I am passionate about helping others succeed in their business and get a kick out of watching my clients hit their goals and then some, with my assistance.

Life before Your Virtual Desk

Before leaping into the world of Virtual Assistance, I spent over 15 years working as a Personal Assistant and Team Manager in the corporate and FMCG sphere covering areas including marketing, product development, basic IT, purchasing, and of course, organising bosses with hectic and full calendars.

I have worked with various bosses and teams, and I’ve learned what makes people tick and what it takes to get things done. I have implemented new processes, developed new systems, taken workload off business owners, and watched efficiency and productivity grow. I now use my experience to help my clients’ businesses thrive.

Away from Your Virtual Desk

I reside in the Macarthur area of Sydney with my 9 and 7-year-old – who were my reason for seeking a flexible work-life balance that allowed me to be there for them more.

When I’m not on mum duty, I love cooking (and eating!), getting lost in a good book, taking in the great outdoors on a walk or hike, and enjoying some much-needed downtime with my partner and my closest friends.
